Product description:Sinomenine is an alkaloid isolated from the Chinese medicinal plant Sinomenium acutum. It has immunomodulating and anti-inflammatory activities [1-3]. Its anti-arthritic propery is related to the anti-proliferative effects on synovial fibroblasts [2] and lymphocytes [4]. Other anti-rheumatic mechanisms are attributed to its ability to decrease PGE2 and leukotriene C4 synthesis, and inhibit NO production [5].
