NPA/USP launching their Ingredient Testing Program
Beijing--(BUSINESS WIRE)--September 21, 2007—

NPA/USP held their Ingredient Testing Program seminar on Friday September 21st in Beijing.

The natural Products association and the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) have partnered together to provide an ingredient testing program. The program will be testing ingredients from Chinese suppliers at USP’s state of art facility in Shanghai before the material are shipped to the U.S at this time, it is extremely important that consumers and government officials in U.S. have confidence in the supply chain.

There have been a number of high highly publicized cases in the media highlighting poor quality and unsafe raw material from China. This attention has had a negative impact on the industry, consumer and government officials. To start this Ingredient Testing Program at this moment will help Chinese supplier to get benefits of “Show U.S. buyers that your company is a quality company interested in produce superior products”. Dr. Dan Fabricant –VP of scientific affairs NPA stated.  

More than 50 companies have attended this free seminar, and the Chinese raw material supplier of natural ingredients show great interests in this program. “We sincerely hope this program will include Resveratrol, Sesamin, Chlorogenic Acid into this program very soon” Stated Dr. Peter Lau, President of Changsha Organic Herb Inc.
